A new era of transatlantic relations: caring about diversity is not enough
The transatlantic community is well-known for its commitment to multilateralism and strong partnership. Yet, when it comes to the individuals behind the treaties and collaboration, one demographic dominates: older, white men. Societies on both sides of the Atlantic have voices from women and underrepresented communities that must be included in the transatlantic conversation. How can we dismantle structural barriers to include a new generation of political actors, journalists, and artists that more accurately reflect the communities from Los Angeles to Berlin?
