Alex Himelfarb is a former Candian public servant, ambassador and academic. Among other roles, he was Clerk of the Privy Council and Secretary to the Cabinet. In 2000, he received the prestigious Outstanding Achievement Award for his public service work. From 2009 until 2014, Himelfarb was Director of the Glendon School of Public and International Affairs at York University. He is founding Chair of the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness and authored numerous books and articles on issues of public policy.
