Neera Tanden is the president and CEO of the Center for American Progress and serves as CEO for the American Progress Action Fund. Respectively, her work focuses on expanding opportunities for all Americans. Tanden has served in both the Obama and the Clinton administration, on presidential campaigns, and previously served as a senior adviser at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Tanden worked with Congress and stakeholders on particular provisions of President Barack Obama’s signature legislative achievement—the Affordable Care Act.
